Congrats! You’ve just been played by Confirmation Bias!

So, what is Confirmation Bias?

Confirmation Bias is a mental shortcut where we seek out information that supports what we already believe and ignore anything that contradicts it. It’s like your brain is wearing rose-colored glasses, only seeing what it wants to see.

Example: Imagine you believe that cats are better pets than dogs (which, let’s be honest, could be true). When you Google “Are cats better pets than dogs?” you’ll probably click on articles that agree with your belief and skip over the ones that don’t.
